We are closing – autumn 2022
The B&B is closing. Care for an ageing mother and the costs of living changing have made the work of running this big house and garden more time consuming than is good at the moment, so I am selling the property, and looking for something smaller in the area. It has been a delight, so I hope to find some way to continue on a smaller scale in the future. I will keep any news posted on this site, but will set up a mailing list for the future, so drop me an email if you want to be kept informed.
See below for other lovely places in the area – all are highly recommended.
For anyone wanting to find out about the beds they heard about on Four in a Bed, please visit the website for Norris Bedding and The Odd Mattress Company for where to get good beds, and Soak and Sleep for their toppers. And the WoolRoom for their wool toppers – they are all brilliant and all help get the perfect bed sorted.
Where else to stay?
Lower Severalls Farmhouse B&B is close by, opposite Haselbury Mill
New Farm Restaurant B&B is in Over Stratton, in a neighbouring village
The Lord Poulett Arms has several rooms, and is based in neighbouring Hinton St George
The Crooked Swan is a pub/restaurant with rooms in the local town.
Bring Your Dog
