The B&B is currently closed, but we are planning to reopen in April and May
We are currently closed due to lockdown, and only available to key workers. We will open in line with the Government roadmap, with the Garden Room (self contained) from 12 April, and the whole B&B after 17th May. This may change, but we are open for bookings after these dates. Since everything is up in the air, cancellations will be allowed without penalty until 7 days before arrival.
The B&B is also due to appear on 4 in a Bed, whether in a positive light is still unknown since the editors give NOTHING away, but you can see us on Tuesday 16th March on Channel 4.
Why stay here?
I hope this is the kind of place you might have stayed as a child, with a slightly batty old aunt pottering in the garden and occasionally putting delicious food on the table. Where you can kick off your shoes and curl up on the sofa with a good book by the fire, or slob in bed before heading out for a walk or trip to the sea. If you are working, and slobbing opportunities are denied you, or you are just stopping off on the way to Devon or Cornwall, at least you can enjoy really comfy beds, and eat cake. So not all is lost.
We’re close to Yeovil, Taunton, Crewkerne and Ilminster, only a short distance from key routes through the South West: the A303 and the M5. Lyme Regis is near to the south, Exmoor to our north, and there are MANY gardens.
Importantly, the views are country, but there are two really good pubs and a cafe only a walk away. And Somerset, the heart of the slow food movement, has many other outstanding places to eat a short drive away, or worth making part of a day trip.
Bring Your Dog
The B&B and the neighbourhood are dog-friendly. Most (all?) pubs and cafes allow dogs and there are fabulous walks near and far.
